“The Allure of the Automobile”
There is nothing like a rare classic automobile displayed in pristine condition. In this is photo is an extremely rare Ferrari 250 Berlinetta. This car along with others from the likes of Aston Martin, Mercedes, Jaguar, GM, Dodge, Bugatti, and others were on display at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta Georgia. I was lucky enough to view this rare and stunning collection this past weekend. Cars such as these although stored in very favorable conditions still need to be detailed. The challenges detailing a classic car are numerous. Extreme care must be taken to ensure that damage does not occur to any surface or part on a car such as this. Many times it is impossible to find a replacement part if damaged by incorrect products or techniques. In addition, these cars often contain parts that are much more fragile than what you would find on a modern automobile. Detailing a classic show car is also a much more intensive process. Although they are usually clean, an extremely thorough and methodical process must be used to ensure every surface is gently cleaned and protected. One missed area can ruin the appearance of an otherwise flawless automobile. If you are lucky enough to own a rare or classic automobile be sure that you are educated on the proper way to care for its appearance. If unsure, consult a qualified professional detail company to assist you with the task. If you are in the Atlanta area, I highly recommend you go and see this unbelievable showing of fine automobiles.
